But Richard isn’t in this alone! He’s backed by a loyal, dedicated team, and of course, his childhood sweetheart and now wife, Jo. Alongside their supportive family, they cheer him on in this exciting culinary adventure, proving that behind every great chef is an even greater support system.

The History of Lusty Glaze
Perched on the shores of Lusty Glaze, a secluded and iconic beach known for its dramatic cliffs, golden sands, and unforgettable sunsets, Pickled Chef is a tribute to the natural beauty and heritage of Cornwall. Once a hidden smuggler’s cove, Lusty Glaze has a deep-rooted history of mystery and adventure.
The name itself, Lusty Glaze, derives from the Cornish words meaning ‘a place of warmth and light,’ an apt description for this stunning, sheltered bay. Over the centuries, it has transformed from a rugged coastline haven for fishermen and traders into one of the UK’s most breathtaking beachfronts, now home to our exquisite dining experience hosted by Richard himself.
